Pink Shirt Day

Posted on

On February 26th, we will celebrate Pink Shirt Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about bullying and promoting kindness, inclusion, and respect.

We encourage all students to wear pink shirts to show their support for this important cause. Let’s come together to spread positivity and make our school a safe, welcoming place for everyone!

On Pink Shirt Day, a group called Bikers Are Buddies are coming to R.J. Hawkey to do 2 one-hour presentations.

Bikers Are Buddies Canada Inc. (BABC) is a federally registered not-for-profit organization created by bikers to raise awareness and empower the community to fight the terrible effects of bullying on young people through education, community outreach and fundraising.

We are excited to welcome them to our school and look forward to sharing this great day with all our students!!

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
