All school council members are parents of students attending R.J. Hawkey and or staff of the school. The goal is for parents and staff to work as partners to ensure that the home and school work in close harmony. Ultimately any final decision is the Principal's, but the advice and views of parents are needed, appreciated and listened to carefully.
School Council provides an important forum to discuss, debate, and exchange views on issues associated with the school. It is about connection and collaboration between parents and the school in helping build a positive and connected culture in the school for our children.
All parents of students attending R.J. Hawkey are encouraged to attend school council meetings and get involved.
