Kindergarten Registration

Children are eligible to attend Kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year if they are 5 years old on or before February 28th, 2019. Kindergarten “Advanced Registration” will run the week of Monday, January 15 to Friday, January 19. Registrations for kindergarten should be done through RVS’ new online eRegistration system, SchoolEngage https://rockyview.schoolengage.ca/.

Kindergarten Registration

Good news; you can turn off the alarm clock! There is no need to line up in the dark to register your child for Kindergarten. No longer operating on a first-come-first served basis, all Rocky View Schools have a consistent format for Kindergarten registrations.

Children are eligible to attend Kindergarten for the 2018-2019 school year if they are 5 years old on or before February 28th, 2019. Kindergarten “Advanced Registration” will run the week of Monday, January 15 to Friday, January 19. Registrations for kindergarten should be done through RVS’ new online eRegistration system, SchoolEngage https://rockyview.schoolengage.ca/.

When registering your child(ren), please provide the following information by attaching it to the form (photographed attachments of documents are acceptable):

  • proof of the child’s age and legal name. Documents accepted are: birth certificate, adoption certificate, student authorization visa, Canadian citizenship papers, or permanent landed immigrant/residence documentation
  • proof of the child’s address. Documents accepted are: utility bill, bill of sale, lease agreement.
  • a copy of custody documents, if applicable

Parents registering children will be asked to specify their preference of AM or PM class placement (or that they’re flexible) on the form. Everyone with completed registrations submitted during this advanced registration week will be given equal consideration for morning or afternoon placement. Kindergarten students and parents are invited to an information session on May 29th at 6:00 PM where there’ll be an opportunity to visit the school, meet teachers, and participate in interactive workshops designed to support learning and better prepare Kindergarten students for the upcoming school year.
